******************************************************************************

I found this statement in one of my favorite spiritual books today. It sent chills up my spine and I just wanted to share it with all of you– because I want you to find the ease and confidence I feel when I read this. I want that for you in your life and business.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do not worry about how the good that has been planned for you will come.
It will come.
Do not worry, obsess, think you have to control it, go out hunting for it, or tangle your mind trying to figure out how and when it will find you.
It will find you.
Surrender to your Higher Power each day. Trust your Higher Power. Then, stay peaceful. Trust and listen to yourself. That is how the good you want will come to you.
Your healing. Your joy. Your relationships. Your solutions. That job. That desired change. That opportunity. It will come to you- naturally, with ease, and in a host of ways.
That answer will come. The direction will come. The money. The idea. The energy. The creativity. The path will open itself to you. Trust that, for it has already been planned.
It is futile, a waste and drain of energy, to worry about how it will come. It is already there. You have it already. It is in place. You just cannot see it!
You will be brought to it, or it will be brought to you.
Bedazzling Makes Everything Better!
You heard me. Bedazzling makes everything better.
A little sparkle. A little glitter.
Shine a little brighter. Add a little pizzazz.
This is a lesson learned this week from two of the most important little people in my life~~
My almost 10-yr old niece Ashley-lyn and my 5-yr old Goddaughter Emily
In summary:
  • The only way her Mom (my life-long friend Ellen) could get Emily to wear her headdress to the school Thanksgiving celebration was to allow her bedazzle it! Look at the happiness on that face!
  • Ashley ran for student council to represent her 4th grade classroom. After losing the race last year, she was determined to make an impact in the voting this year. Not only were her leadership skills and positive attitude key to her WIN this week, but I am certain that those glitter letters and sparkle skirt played a huge role!
Where could my life use a little burst of color?
What activities have been feeling lackluster and need to twinkle?
Where could I feel a little more confident if I just added some pizzazz?
Time to begin with a little creative time in my schedule. A few moments ago, I took out my calendar and put aside time to play a little each day. Some days I blocked 30 minutes and others an hour based on what the calendar looks like.
Thank goodness last year my friend, Debra sent me a mini-Bedazzler and my friend Jessica sent me Opi Muppets glitter nail polish. Plus there are all those boxes of pens, stickers, markers, post-its etc. that I packed and moved to my new apartment. Seriously, I have everything I need to get started!
How about you?
I am issuing a challenge. To myself.
You have heard it here first.
Every night this week, I will quiet down for one hour without my computer.
I know. I know. How hard is that?
Why the big announcement?
Well, for me it is not as easy as it sounds.
True confession: Most evenings this darn computer is on until I go to bed. Sometimes I am working. Sometimes I am watching television and playing around on the internet. Sometimes I am talking to you on Facebook or Twitter. But you can be sure that I am NOT losing myself in a great story, flipping through a magazine, knitting, diving into one of my beloved business books or writing in my journal after thinking about a spiritual passage I just read. I am not slowing down.
Over the next week, I will slow down every evening for one hour before bed.
It is one of my necessary next steps if I want to launch my business forward. I can feel it! My brain needs time to switch gears and slow down. Wish me luck and watch for updates!
Perhaps more importantly, does this sound familiar? Want to join me?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It’s the end of the weekend.

I have the “Sunday night” feeling again.

Honestly, I have been carrying this particular feeling with me for decades.

  • [high school] Did I memorize all the lines for the play?
  • [college] Did I do all my reading for this week’s seminars?
  • [corporate] Am I prepared for all the travel and meetings I have this week?
  • [my own business] What remains on my list that really needed to be tackled this weekend?

It plagues me. I have kept quiet about it for a really long time but recently found myself tentatively sharing it with a few people. What I have found is that I am not alone…  not by a long shot!  The more I shared, the more people identified. So many of you have been thinking and feeling this, too.

This “Sunday night “ feeling.

You’ve described it as anxiety, dread, “should haves”, frustration and exhaustion just to name a few. But you know me- I am always looking for a solution. I have yet to make the feeling go away, but I can manage it and downplay it with a few simple actions. That is- If I remember. If I stop the spinning and remember.

For me, watching a little Sunday night football helps during football season. Or making a list of what to do first when I wake up in the morning (just a little post-it note with a few things listed). Taking a bubble bath. Phoning a friend.  Turning off the tv and the computer and pulling out a magazine. And now apparently, writing my Weekend Coffee Thoughts.

Do you have this “Sunday Night” feeling? I hope not.

But if so, what do you do to manage it?
