August. August certainly brings its challenges. Mostly I find it a challenge to stay in the present. The calendar flips and I am already thinking about fall and the holiday season (snow, holiday cards and Christmas trees to be specific!). I see Facebook posts from parents lamenting that there are only a few more weeks until school starts. People are talking about how the summer is almost over as they play in the sun. I begin planning my fall travel schedule. Last week, I found myself thinking about the fact that I wanted to knit some groovy winter hats for myself and the kids in my life. And it is 90 degrees right now!
The questions I ask myself:
- Are you projecting or planning?
- Are you being a “responsible planner” or have you completely lost sight of the life that is surrounding you right now?
- Are you living in the day or the hour or the moment, or are you off to the races in your head- living in 2011 or 2021?
